1. Who we are

Resume Ground (“we”, “us”) is operated from India and provides AI-assisted resume building, ATS scoring, and job matching tools.

2. Data we collect

Account data: name, email, password hash, OAuth identifiers.
Resume content: work history, education, skills, contact details that you input or import.
Job descriptions: JDs you save or paste (including via our Chrome extension).
Usage data: events such as resume_created, ats_seen, IP, user agent, timestamps.
Billing data: handled by our payment processor; we store only plan, subscription status, and last 4 digits.

3. Why we process it

To provide the service (lawful basis: contract).
AI assistance - your resume and JD are sent to model providers for generation/scoring (lawful basis: contract).
Security, fraud prevention, abuse rate-limiting (legitimate interest).
Aggregated analytics to improve the product (legitimate interest).

4. AI sub-processors

We use Google Gemini and OpenAI through the Lovable AI Gateway. Inputs are not used to train their public models. We never send your password or payment details to AI providers.

5. Your rights (GDPR & DPDP Act)

Access & portability: export your data anytime from Settings → Data.
Erasure: delete your account from Settings; we purge within 30 days.
Rectification: edit any field directly in the app.
Withdraw consent: disable analytics in the cookie banner.

6. Retention

Active resumes are retained while your account is active. Deleted resumes are purged within 30 days. Billing records are retained 7 years to comply with Indian tax law.

7. Cookies

We use a single first-party session cookie for authentication and an opt-in analytics cookie. No third-party advertising trackers.
