7 Resume Mistakes Every Indian Fresher Makes (and How to Fix Them)
Campus-placement resumes follow patterns that hurt you. Here is what to drop and what to add for product-company callbacks.

The 7 mistakes
Photo, DOB, marital status, parents' names. Drop all of them. They're mandatory only in Indian PSU forms.
Listing every school from class 1. Keep college + class 12 + class 10 (board, percentage). That's it.
"Hobbies: Reading, Music, Travelling". Replace with one specific interest if it's genuinely a story (e.g., "Built a personal finance tracker as a side project").
Skills graphs. "Python ████████░░ 80%" is meaningless and breaks ATS.
"Available for immediate joining." Use a separate notice-period line in the header.
Two-page resume as a fresher. One page until you have 3+ years of experience.
Listing CGPA only without context. Add the max scale: "CGPA: 8.7/10".
What to add instead
2-3 substantial projects with GitHub links.
1 internship described in XYZ-formula bullets.
A "Coursework" line if your degree is non-CS but you're applying for CS roles.
Hackathon wins, open-source contributions, technical blog posts.
