How to Beat the ATS at TCS, Infosys, and Wipro

The big-3 service companies use stricter parsers than most product MNCs. Here is exactly how to format your CV for them.

What the big-3 actually parse

TCS, Infosys, and Wipro use heavily customized ATS pipelines that lean on exact-keyword match between the JD and the resume. They are stricter than Naukri-style ATS used by smaller firms.

The 5 rules that matter

  1. DOCX preferred over PDF for these three. (Yes — even in 2026.)
  2. Repeat the JD keywords verbatim in your skills + experience sections.
  3. List total years of experience explicitly: "Total experience: 4.5 years."
  4. Mention domain — BFSI, Healthcare, Telecom, Retail. Their parsers tag candidates by domain.
  5. Notice period in the header — recruiters filter on this.

Sample header for service companies

Full Name | +91-... | email | LinkedIn | Bengaluru
Total Experience: 4.5 yrs | Notice Period: 60 days | Domain: BFSI

What NOT to include

  • GitHub stars or "open-source maintainer of X" — won't move the needle here.
  • Side gigs / freelance projects — can flag you as a flight risk.
  • Salary expectation (separate field exists in their portal).
