What the big-3 actually parse
TCS, Infosys, and Wipro use heavily customized ATS pipelines that lean on exact-keyword match between the JD and the resume. They are stricter than Naukri-style ATS used by smaller firms.
The 5 rules that matter
- DOCX preferred over PDF for these three. (Yes — even in 2026.)
- Repeat the JD keywords verbatim in your skills + experience sections.
- List total years of experience explicitly: "Total experience: 4.5 years."
- Mention domain — BFSI, Healthcare, Telecom, Retail. Their parsers tag candidates by domain.
- Notice period in the header — recruiters filter on this.
Sample header for service companies
Full Name | +91-... | email | LinkedIn | Bengaluru
Total Experience: 4.5 yrs | Notice Period: 60 days | Domain: BFSI
What NOT to include
- GitHub stars or "open-source maintainer of X" — won't move the needle here.
- Side gigs / freelance projects — can flag you as a flight risk.
- Salary expectation (separate field exists in their portal).
